Rector

The Rev. Anjel Scarborough

The Rev. Anjel Scarborough is a second vocation priest having spent 20+ years working in information technology prior to answering God's call to ordination. She attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary), graduating in 2007 with her Master of Divinity with a specialty in Town and Country Ministries and honors in New Testament scholarship.

Anjel+ was ordained deacon in June 2007 and priest in February 2008 in the Diocese of Maryland. She served a number of Episcopal parishes and missions including six years as rector of Grace Church, Brunswick. She also spent two years as a hospice chaplain in Washington County MD. She is an iconographer, retreat leader, has a passion for leading communities who dare to seek out those on the margins of our society as Jesus did. She currently serves as the Diocesan Liturgist and on the Disciplinary Board for the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and is a member of the Society of Catholic Priests.

Anjel+ and her spouse Stuart+ (who is a deacon) have been married over 35 years and have two adult children.

Fun Facts

Where are you from? Originally, I'm from San Diego, California, but I lived in Maryland for 33 years before moving to the Hershey area.


What’s your favorite thing about your role at All Saints? Talking to people about God, their lives, and what matters most to them. I love having coffee with people, so call me and we can do that!


Describe All Saints in three words: Affirming, authentic, caring


What’s a movie or show everyone should see and why? I'm a big Ted Lasso fan. The writing and character development are magnificent. It's funny but also very poignant and profound in speaking to the human condition.


What book did you love growing up and how did it impact you? As a child, I loved "The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster. It was a fun adventure and full of wordplay and puns.


What talent or skill do you wish you possessed? I wish I had learned to play the piano.


Name something on your bucket list? Hiking the Camino de Santiago.
